Phas Gaye Re Obama: Music Review: Generation Music with Fragrance of Soil

Phas Gaye Re Obama has truly a generation musical expressions with heavy & nice fragrance of Indian soil i.e., Indian folk. Must be Promoted

The song Sara Pyar hai Bekar-

It is a ready mix Desi gana (song) which our ears are used to hear. The melody looks like that we just heard it in our home someday. It is a very hummable tune though it has a strong theatrical element. Some one has said correct that it is too difficult  to be simple and Music director Manish J Tipu has done it carefully and intentionally, as it appears. The song has good generation rythms with all modern elements of orchestration. In singing, the chorus is cool. Kailash Kher is as usual as he is always except the very last note of ending gone flat, which doesnt sounds good with him.
The lyrics is having many theatrical punches like- Main Gabbar ki Sister & jhadu de ke more bana dun.......phone hi kalle- and whole Gana is Punchy and able to make a mark on lips.SO THIS SONG IS RATED ****4/5*****

The song-Amarikwa me-

Again very close to folk with firangi rythm patterns and blend of desi cheez. interludes are good.  Singing of Manish who is music director too of the song is interesting and sounds good with fresh flavour. Tipu makes his voice culture as the great Amitabh Bachchan in some song like rang barse kind which is so pleasent to hear because this is the thing which is totally missing these days in the film music. It doesnt means Tipu made a copy of Amit ji. It is only about voice culture. Salutes to him. Nice lyrics and orchestration. Rating ***3.5/5*****

Though both songs are totally situation based songs but they can be used for good promotion too, but i dont know why the film makers are not promoting them well inspite of that a few days back there was a bumper hit song in Peepli live which was actually a folk of MP. The folk element must be used and promoted in its genuine style and look up. dhinchak dhinchak has always no guaranty to be Successful, but the folk in its original form is always has a guaranty to be successful because it is tested since centuries.

Hope it will work this time. All the best!!!!
